Taiwanese Employees Tour Wulingyuan
Recently, nearly 300 employees of Xinyi Mei Company from Taiwan took a dip in the scenic spots such as Baofeng Lake, Yuanjiajie and Yangjiajie in Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie, Hunan. According to Qin Xin, the general manager of Zhangjiajie China International Travel Service, this is the largest Taiwanese tour group Zhangjiajie has received at one time this year.

Taiwan as a Major Overseas Source Market
Taiwan is one of Zhangjiajie’s major overseas tourist source markets. Especially last year, Zhangjiajie organized a series of tourism marketing and exchange activities in major cities in Taiwan and achieved remarkable results. It promoted the implementation of charter flights from Zhangjiajie to Taipei twice a week, and successfully promoted the successful listing of the Zhangjiajie office of the China Cross-Strait Exchange Association. At the end of the year, the "Huangshizhai Cup" extreme downhill race sponsored by the Zhangjiajie Huangshizhai Passenger Ropeway Company, a Taiwan-funded enterprise, was successfully held, arousing the "Zhangjiajie fever" in the Taiwan market. In 2014, more than 56,000 Taiwanese tourists entered the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan through groups, a year-on-year increase of 16.06%.
At the beginning of this year, Zhangjiajie invited more than 40 representatives from Taiwan’s tourism industry and airlines to Zhangjiajie to inspect routes and products. The Zhangjiajie City Tourism Association also paid a return visit to Taiwan’s tourism industry, laying a solid foundation for tourism expansion between Zhangjiajie and Taiwan in 2015. In March, professional bicycle riders from both sides of the Taiwan Strait competed in Zhangjiajie, once again setting off a new round of "Zhangjiajie fever" in Taiwan. According to incomplete statistics, as of June 10, the number of Taiwanese tourists entering Wulingyuan’s core scenic area this year has exceeded 18,000.
Direct Charter Flights Drive Market Promotion
Leveraging the direct charter flight from Zhangjiajie to Taiwan, this year Zhangjiajie’s key travel agencies in the Taiwan market have stepped up efforts to promote Zhangjiajie’s image and routes. In addition to independently signing up for group tours, we also proactively connect with some large companies in Taiwan to expand conferences and business travel.
