Wulingyuan Launches Journey to the West Spring Routes
In the spring of the Year of the Monkey, it would be a pleasant trip to go out and enjoy the scenery in Wulingyuan, the core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, where "Journey to the West" was filmed, and to have close contact with groups of "grand monkeys". Recently, the Tourism and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City launched the spring "Journey to the West" tour route, advocating that people convey Sun Wukong's positive energy of perseverance, diligence, helping those in need, and sharing friendship and harmony.
Routes Connect Multiple Attractions in Core Scenic Area
The tour routes of "Journey to the West" launched this time mainly include: Huangshi Village - Yangjiajie - Yuanjiajie - Shuirao Simen - Shili Gallery - Tianzi Mountain - Baofeng Lake - Huanglong Cave. Depending on the tour time, it can be extended to surrounding scenic spots. Among them, Shuilao Simen, Shili Gallery, Baofeng Lake, and Huanglong Cave were the main battlefields for the filming of "Journey to the West". Many Zhangjiajie landforms and scenery were permanently reflected on the screen with "Journey to the West" and entered thousands of households. For the "Journey to the West" tour route, relevant scenic spot companies along the route will also develop a series of "Monkey" tourism products, including souvenirs, audio and video products, etc.
Monkey-Themed Campaign Marks 30th Anniversary of Hit TV Series
The launch of the "Journey to the West" tour route is on the one hand to make use of the "monkey" to enrich spring tourism products. On the other hand, it is also to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the hit broadcast of "Journey to the West". We are grateful that the filming of "Journey to the West" has helped the tourism development of Wulingyuan. The person in charge of Wulingyuan District Tourism and Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau said that before the Spring Festival, Wulingyuan District sent an invitation to Liu Xiaolingtong (Zhang Jinlai), the actor who plays the Monkey King. Zhang Jinlai and his family were invited to come to Wulingyuan, the core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, to celebrate the Tujia New Year together with the entire crew and family of "Journey to the West". At the same time, Zhang Jinlai is sincerely hired as the image publicity spokesperson of Wulingyuan, the core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie.
Although Wulingyuan has not received a reply from Mr. Zhang Jinlai to this day, Wulingyuan Scenic Area's sentiment towards "Journey to the West" will never change. The launch of the "Journey to the West" tour route is also to better retain the beautiful memories of "Journey to the West" during the filming of "Journey to the West" in Wulingyuan, and to experience the tremendous changes that have taken place in Wulingyuan over the past 30 years with tourists from all over the world.
Invitation Sent to Liu Xiao Ling Tong for Endorsement
On the occasion of the launch of the "Journey to the West" tour route, Wulingyuan District will also send an invitation to Liu Xiaolingtong (Zhang Jinlai), who will continue to play the role of the Monkey King, and issue him a letter of appointment as the image spokesperson of Wulingyuan, the core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, in person, and award him the title of "Honorary Lifetime Citizen" of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City.
