The meeting was chaired by Chu Xinnian, deputy secretary of the district committee, district chief, director of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area and National Forest Park Administration Bureau, and director of the district tourism work committee. 13 deputy directors of the tourism work committee, including Xiang Gang, member of the standing committee of the district committee and executive deputy district chief, attended the meeting.
The meeting approved the work plan of the District Tourism Industry Committee on adjusting tourism marketing ideas and models in 2016. It is required to unify the Wulingyuan tourism promotion caliber under the city's tourism promotion framework, highlight the core scenic spot brands, and further transform government functions and adjust tourism marketing methods. The marketing subject will be transferred from the government to enterprises. The district government and the scenic spot administration office are mainly responsible for brand image marketing, and each tourism enterprise is mainly responsible for channel marketing. The district tourism industry committee will vigorously encourage tourism enterprises and social forces to actively carry out tourism marketing activities, and set up relevant subsidies and rewards.
Guidance on construction of characteristic guesthouses
The meeting approved the "Guiding Opinions on the Development of Characteristic Inns in Wulingyuan District" issued by the District Tourism Committee. The "Opinions" have 4 chapters and 13 articles, which clearly stipulate the planning and construction, operating services, policy support, etc. of the inns. The opinions will further guide and standardize the development, construction and operation of Wulingyuan District's characteristic inns, improve management and service levels, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the district's characteristic inns.
Tasks for concentrated rectification of tourism order
The meeting decomposed and assigned tasks related to carrying out the second centralized rectification of tourism order in Wulingyuan District in 2015 under the banner of "Safety and Satisfaction in Zhangjiajie". It required the relevant units of the Zhangjiajie Administration Bureau and the five special rectification groups to strictly implement their responsibilities in accordance with the requirements and focus on tourism. To rectify the pursuit of customers and illegal operations in passenger distribution centers, we must pay attention to clearly marked prices in tourist consumption places, increase the environmental sanitation protection of scenic spots, carry out special rectification of the sale of slingshots and fishing equipment in core scenic spots and around ticket stations, and strengthen the training of tourism practitioners.
Assignment of rectification for 5A review issues
At the end of the meeting, the Municipal Tourism and Overseas Chinese Committee assigned the rectification tasks for the problems found in the 5A review and inspection of Wulingyuan District, mainly focusing on rectification of 11 specific issues in four aspects, including tourism transportation, visitor center construction, safety disposal, scenic area sanitation and management. The responsible units of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area and National Forest Park Administration were required to rectify and implement the existing problems in strict accordance with the prescribed time limit to ensure smooth preparation for the national inspection.
