Tianzishan Town Creates Characteristic Town
“In accordance with the theme positioning of ‘Tujia Town’, the Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau and the Provincial Cultural Industry Reform and Development Office will support Wulingyuan Tianzishan Town to create a custom cultural tourism town that is ‘livable, suitable for tourism, suitable for industry, and suitable for culture’ within 1-3 years.” On May 25, Peng Bin, director of the Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau of Zhangjiajie City, happily told the author.
It is reported that the Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau and the Provincial Cultural Industry Reform and Development Office have included Tianzishan Town in the first batch of pilot demonstration units to create a "Hunan-style cultural tourism town", and clearly classified it as an "enhanced promotion type" creation category.
Peng Bin introduced that the conditions for creating a "Hunan-style cultural tourism town" are high. In addition to having strong Hunan cultural characteristics and regional customs, it must also be a cultural and tourism regional complex with strong tourism attraction and reception capabilities. After strong recommendation from the District Tourism Bureau and strict review by the Provincial Tourism Bureau, Tianzishan Town was finally selected due to its unique advantages.
Five Major Principles and Planning Consultation
According to the requirements of the creation work, Tianzishan Town must follow five major principles in the process of building a "Hunan-style cultural tourism town": highlighting cultural themes and characteristics; creating new products integrating culture and tourism; guiding the participation of social funds; guiding by phases and classifications; giving priority to protection and rational utilization. During the construction process, it is necessary to clarify the cultural theme, supporting infrastructure, improve the service system, optimize the living environment, and improve the management system.
In order to ensure that the creation of the "Hunan Style Cultural Tourism Town" has accurate theme positioning, rich cultural connotation, and scientific planning, the Hunan Provincial Tourism Administration has hired a consulting expert group led by Professor Liu Peilin of the Hunan Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center of Hengyang Normal University's "Digital Inheritance of Ancient Villages and Ancient Towns Cultural Heritage" to be responsible for the entire process of technical consultation and intellectual support for the creation of the "Hunan Style Cultural Tourism Town".
Brand Promotion and Financial Support
According to reports, in the process of creating a "Huxiang Style Cultural Tourism Town" in Tianzishan Town, the District Tourism Bureau will focus on promoting the brand of Tianzishan Town and actively strive for financial support. At the same time, it will implement dynamic management of the creation activities and strengthen supervision and inspection to ensure the successful completion of the creation work.
