Tourism bureau deploys rainfall prevention work

In accordance with the spirit of Zhangjiajie City’s 18th Flood Control Conference on August 17, the Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau of Zhangjiajie City took quick action to arrange and deploy various scenic spots to take preventive measures against continuous rainfall to ensure the safety of tourist receptions.

Although it is now at the end of the summer, Wulingyuan Scenic Area is still very popular in terms of tourism reception, with the core scenic area receiving more than 50,000 visitors every day. In view of the continuous rainy weather and possible water and flood conditions, the Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau requires all scenic spots to actively respond, fully prepare for tourist reception, safety guidance, emergency preparedness, etc., pay close attention to the current flood conditions during the rainy season, and insist on 24-hour duty; do daily supervision of the flash flood disaster early warning system to ensure the normal operation of the system; strengthen adequate reserves of emergency flood prevention and rescue materials to ensure the safety of Chinese and foreign tourists' lives and property.

Coordinate travel agencies to adjust tour routes

In order to ensure that tourists from all over the country are safe on rainy days and can appreciate the beautiful landforms of Zhangjiajie, the District Tourism Bureau has strengthened coordination with various travel agencies. Through time-sharing reservations at sub-stations, and according to rain conditions, it guides and urges travel agencies to adjust the group's up and down mountain tour routes. It also uses electronic displays and information desks to provide timely tour routes and safety reminders to guide tourists to choose a reasonable tour itinerary. At the same time, the District Tourism Quality Supervision Office has strengthened mobile inspections. In response to frequent heavy rainfall, tourists are reminded to bring rain gear and jackets when entering scenic spots. Try not to visit remote and dangerous tourist routes alone and obey the guidance of scenic spot staff.

It is understood that although the strong rainy weather has affected the tour to a certain extent, the beautiful scenery of clouds and mist in the rain in Wulingyuan's core scenic spot has made tourists from all over the world feel that their trip is worthwhile. At present, all scenic area tourism enterprises have fully completed equipment safety monitoring and early warning and forecasting work in accordance with the requirements, strengthened duty scheduling and safe operation management and control, and focused on the safety hazards in important areas (spots) of scenic spots (spots), tourist trails, and dangerous rock masses. A network-style investigation was carried out to eliminate safety hazards in a timely manner. At the same time, during heavy rainfall, humane services such as rain protection, slip prevention, and safety guidance for tourists have been provided.
