Wulingyuan Promotes Tourism Products in Wuhan
Wulingyuan and Huayun High-speed Railway signed an agreement to launch tourist through trains in the summer
The beautiful Zhangjiajie amazes the whole world. On June 3, Wulingyuan, a core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, a World Natural Heritage Site and World Geopark, held a tourism product promotion meeting in Wuhan to introduce the world's rare "Zhangjiajie Landform" scenery and Wulingyuan's high-quality tourist routes to the tourist source market in Wuhan and surrounding areas. Zhanglv Group, Zhangjiajie Bailong Ladder, Zhangjiajie Huanglong Cave Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie Tianzi Mountain Cableway, Zhangjiajie Huangshizhai Cableway, Zhangjiajie Charming Xiangxi, Zhangjiajie Landform Experience Center and other tourism companies participated in this promotion event in Wuhan.
Wuhan and surrounding areas such as Jingzhou and Enshi have always been important tourist source areas for Wulingyuan. In recent years, with the improvement of the railway, highway and air transportation environment, the tourist source market centered on Wuhan sends nearly 100,000 tourists to Wulingyuan every year. Hou Jiaji, deputy mayor and deputy secretary-general of the Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government, said that Zhangjiajie is a well-known tourist destination at home and abroad with unique tourism resources. Among them, the "Zhangjiajie Landform" natural landscape in the core scenic spot Wulingyuan, the air quality of the scenic spot with a negative oxygen ion content of up to 100,000 per cubic centimeter, and the world-class tourist reception facilities such as cableways and elevators have attracted tourists from Wuhan and even Hubei.
Summer Direct Train Agreement Signed
During this promotion, the Wulingyuan District Tourism and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of Zhangjiajie City signed a tourism through train agreement with the Huayun High-speed Railway on site. The two parties agreed to launch four direct tourist express trains from Wuhan to Zhangjiajie on June 15 this year, and another four in July, with a total number of people expected to be nearly 8,000. The number of trips will be further increased according to market demand. At the same time, the two parties stated that they will establish a long-term cooperation mechanism for through train operation to make Zhangjiajie and Wuhan a permanent tourist through city.
According to reports, in recent years, Wulingyuan, a core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, has experienced significant growth in tourism reception. In 2015, Wulingyuan received more than 3.46 million tourists, a record high. From January to May this year, the number of receptions exceeded 1.35 million.
