Guilin-Zhangjiajie Direct Flight to Open on May 15
On May 15, direct flights from Guilin to Zhangjiajie will be opened. On the 11th, the Zhangjiajie-Guilin direct flight tourism route promotion and market docking meeting was held in Guilin. The tourism departments of the two places have agreed to jointly promote the Guilin-Zhangjiajie Chinese classic landscape tourism route and well-known domestic and foreign tourist destinations.
Relying on the world's unparalleled "Zhangjiajie Landform" resources, Zhangjiajie has been certified and listed as a World Natural Heritage and a World Geopark. It has created two 5A-level and six 4A-level tourist attractions, equipped with international aviation ports and airports and other tourist facilities, and has become a well-known tourist destination at home and abroad.
Two Cities Promote Direct Flight, Approved by Civil Aviation Administration
In November last year, Zhao Leqin, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, led a team to Zhangjiajie for inspection and reached an agreement with Yang Guangrong, Secretary of the Zhangjiajie Municipal Party Committee, to strive for the early realization of direct flights between the two places. After many efforts and approval by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Okay Airways will launch the Guilin-Zhangjiajie route on May 15. The flight schedule information is: departing from Zhangjiajie at 15:20 and arriving in Guilin at 17:05; departing from Guilin at 17:35 and arriving in Zhangjiajie at 19:20. The relevant person in charge of the Zhangjiajie Tourism Department said that tourists who take the first day's flight to Zhangjiajie can receive a free ticket at the Suoxiyu and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Administration ticket stations with the same day's air ticket and their ID card.

In order to further adapt to the development requirements of the new era of tourism connectivity, the two places also agreed to adapt to new market needs, further strengthen the spatial transportation connection, tourism product connection, and tourism market linkage between the two places, and jointly promote the brand, exchange tourists, and market interaction, complement each other's advantages, and achieve win-win cooperation.
Tao Lijian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, Yu Changguo, Assistant to the Mayor and Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the National Tourism Administration, relevant persons in charge of Zhangjiajie and Guilin Municipal Tourism Development Committees, and persons in charge of more than 50 tourism enterprises attended the negotiation meeting.
