Four Athletes First to Climb Zhangjiajie Stone Pillars

Adidas outdoor athletes Mayan Smith-Gobat and Ben Rueck teamed up with famous Chinese rock climbers Liu Yongbang (Abang) and Xiao Ting to go to the Qingfeng Canyon at the junction of the world's unique and China's largest national forest park "Zhangjiajie Forest Park" for the first rock climbing exploration.

They are the first team of athletes allowed to climb the rock wall by the Zhangjiajie government. Zhangjiajie is located in central Hunan Province and is one of the most well-known nature reserves in the country. The park's strict protection of the natural ecological environment has prevented all previous climbers from setting foot there. This time, Adidas international team athletes completed the first climb using traditional climbing methods, opening a new climbing door for the majority of rock enthusiasts.
