The investor and builder is Chen Yulin, a local Tujia farmer who is over 50 years old. He worked in tourism and other industries in his early years. In 2013, he returned to his hometown and started his own business. Taking advantage of the geographical advantage of being close to the Yangjiajie Scenic Area, he and his fellow villagers transformed his ancestral house into the No. 5 Valley Inn Group with regional characteristics. Chen Yulin spent a huge amount of money to build a swimming pool this time. Chen Yulin admitted that it was not to show off his wealth, but to improve the supporting facilities of the inn, so as to provide tourists and local people with an additional place to relax and better develop rural tourism.

Chen Yulin, a farmer in Yexipu Village, said that since the swimming pool was built this year, the business of No. 5 Valley Inn has become more prosperous. To check in, you need to book one month in advance. Foreign tourists account for 25% of the total guests, an increase of 20% compared with the same period last year.
