Project Construction Progress and Operation Schedule
As of April 8, the construction of the Wulingyuan Visitor Center and Sign Gate·Nine Courtyards and Ten Streets Project, a key project to improve Zhangjiajie's tourism quality, is progressing smoothly. The main body of the large-scale underground parking lot has been basically completed. The entire project will be put into operation in the spring and summer of 2017. It will create many firsts such as "the largest underground parking lot in a scenic spot in China, the largest tourist service center in Hunan, and the largest urban cultural square in Zhangjiajie."
Wulingyuan Visitor Center and Sign Gate·Nine Courtyards and Ten Streets is a key project at the provincial, municipal and district levels with a total investment of nearly 700 million yuan. It is located at the Wujiayu Ticket Station in Wulingyuan District. The project has a total construction area of 100,000 square meters. It uses Zhangjiajie’s unique Xilankapu pattern as its constituent elements to form nine relatively independent but integrated courtyards and ten streets and lanes that lead directly to the mountain gate.
Investment, Operation and Property Sales Status
According to the person in charge of Tuofeng Company, the investor and construction company, more than half of the project's area is owned and operated by the government and developers, and is used for ticket stations, tourist service centers, international brand resort hotels, dome theaters, and VR (virtual reality) tourism experience centers. A small number of properties will be put on sale today, and are favored by merchants and investors.
After the project is completed, it will be the largest comprehensive tourism service body in domestic scenic spots that integrates multiple functions such as underground parking lots, tourist distribution squares, ticket and travel route services, and comprehensive commercial services, greatly improving the quality of tourism reception in the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan, a world natural heritage.
