On October 27, Hunan Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area held a winter tourism product promotion meeting in Wenzhou, Zhejiang to promote winter Wulingyuan tourism routes to Wenzhou citizens.
From the 28th, the direct air route from Wenzhou to Zhangjiajie will resume operation. The flight from Wenzhou to Zhangjiajie is HO1090 (15:55-18:15); the flight from Zhangjiajie to Wenzhou is HO1089 (18:50-21:00). Winter flights will be operated until March 28, 2019.
Qin Jinting, deputy director of Wulingyuan District in Zhangjiajie City, introduced that Wulingyuan is the core tourist attraction in Zhangjiajie. It has many laurels such as the first batch of world natural heritage, the first batch of world geological parks, the first national forest park in China, and the first batch of 5A tourist attractions in the country. The unique landscape of thousands of towering peaks in the scenic area is known as "expanded bonsai, shrunk wonderland." From January to September this year, Wulingyuan’s major scenic spots received a total of more than 21.54 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of more than 17%.
The stunning peak forest landscape, colorful folk experiences, and rustic country B&Bs have made Wulingyuan one of the preferred leisure and vacation destinations for Wenzhou tourists. According to incomplete statistics, more than 50,000 tourists from Wenzhou enter Wulingyuan every year. Yang Maofu, deputy director of the Wenzhou Municipal Tourism Bureau, said that Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area is a world-renowned tourist attraction with pleasant scenery all year round. It is an important tourist destination that Wenzhou citizens yearn for, especially the beautiful autumn that countless Wenzhou citizens yearn for. He hopes that the two places will strengthen tourism exchanges and cooperation, and travel agencies will strengthen docking and send customers to each other to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
At the tourism promotion meeting that day, the Wulingyuan District Tourism Committee Office joined hands with Huanglong Cave, Baofeng Lake, Bailong Ladder, Zhangjiajie Charming Xiangxi, Huangshizhai Cableway, Tianzishan Cableway, Yangjiajie Cableway, Shili Gallery Sightseeing Tram, Zhangjiajie World Heritage International Travel Service, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area and other tourism companies to promote tourism products. Representatives of Juneyao Airlines introduced the daily round-trip flight status from Wenzhou to Zhangjiajie in winter.
A travel agent from Wenzhou International Travel Service said: "You can't know Zhangjiajie without Wulingyuan. Wulingyuan is a world natural heritage, enjoys a high reputation internationally, and is very attractive to Wenzhou's tourist market. We will use direct charter flights to further deepen tourism cooperation with Zhangjiajie, develop more refined routes, and transport more tourists to Wulingyuan."
Peng Bin, director of Wulingyuan District Tourism and Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau, said that this year the ticket price of Wulingyuan’s core scenic spots has been reduced by 20 yuan, and winter price discounts have been implemented. At the same time, Wulingyuan will also carry out a series of themed activities such as "Winter Tour to Zhangjiajie, Exciting the World" to enrich tourists' winter travel life.
