Eight Departments Jointly Inspect Tourism-Related Hazards
From June 2 to 3, the Wulingyuan District Tourism Industry Committee Office and the Safety and Satisfaction Office organized eight functional departments including tourism, safety supervision, quality supervision, fire protection, water affairs, and electricity to carry out a joint inspection of tourism safety during the flood season to closely investigate potential travel safety hazards to ensure that tourists are safe and satisfied in Wulingyuan.
The inspection team focused on inspecting the flood prevention measures, safety emergency plans, operation of facilities and equipment, and the implementation of self-examination and self-inspection and rectification of safety hazards at the core scenic area environmentally friendly passenger transport company, Shili Gallery Sightseeing Tram, Bailong Elevator, Yangjiajie Cableway and other tourism enterprises. It also inspected the on-site reception order of each enterprise and randomly checked the status of on-duty personnel. At the same time, we listened to the flood prevention work reports of each enterprise, provided on-site feedback and assigned solutions to the problems discovered during the inspection, and clarified the time limit for the implementation of rectifications. In particular, during the inspection, it was discovered that the Huanglong Cave Scenic Area purchased "three noes" cruise ships to transport tourists, and the district's maritime affairs and safety supervision departments ordered immediate rectifications on the spot.
Urban Restaurant Fire and Food Inspections
The inspection team also conducted intensive inspections at star-rated hotels and major social hotels in the city to check fire protection facilities, elevator operation conditions, restaurant food safety, various emergency measures and on-duty status. They criticized the poor sanitary conditions of Jinzun Hotel, Yubifeng Hotel and other hotel restaurants and the aging of some fire protection facilities, and ordered rectifications to be put in place within a time limit.
The person in charge of the district’s safety and satisfaction office said that it is currently the flood season and the peak reception season, and the safety of tourist attractions is very important. Starting from June, the district’s safety and satisfaction office and the tourism industry committee office will organize joint safety inspections from time to time to publicly expose tourism-related enterprises that have failed to take adequate safety precautions and make rectifications.
