Announcement on the tourism reception work during the 2020 May Day holiday in Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie
The May Day holiday in 2020 is approaching. In order to coordinate epidemic prevention and control and tourism reception during the holiday, so that tourists can have a safe, orderly, healthy and enjoyable holiday in the core scenic area of Wulingyuan, according to the "Notice on Effective Epidemic Prevention and Control and Safe and Orderly Opening of Tourist Attractions" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Health Commission (Culture and Tourism Power Generation [2020] 71 No.), the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Office’s “Notice on Doing a Good Job in Epidemic Prevention and Control in Tourist Attractions During the May Day”, and the Office of the Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China’s Tourism Working Committee’s “Notice on Doing a Good Job in the May Day Holiday Tourism in 2020” and other documents. After research and decision by the District Party Committee’s Tourism Working Committee, the relevant matters regarding the May Day holiday tourism reception are now announced as follows:
1. In order to effectively increase the tour time and realize staggered viewing times and peaks, the opening time of the five ticket stations in the scenic spot has been advanced to 6:00 in the morning. Tickets can be purchased by appointment to enter the park; when the maximum carrying capacity of the scenic spot reaches 41,100 people and the instantaneous carrying capacity reaches 18,500 people, ticket sales will stop.
2. Tourists are encouraged to book tickets online. According to the flow of people entering the park, they can reasonably choose to enter the park from the east gate (Wujiayu Ticket Station), south gate (Forest Park Ticket Station), west gate (Yangjiajie Ticket Station), north gate (Tianzishan Ticket Station), and southeast gate (Zimugang Ticket Station).
3. The scenic spot implements one-way diversion control for some popular routes (that is: after tourists visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area to the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, it is recommended to go down the mountain from the direction of Tianzi Mountain instead of turning back to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area; tourists visit from the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area After arriving at the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, it is recommended to go down the mountain from the direction of Yuanjiajie and not go back to the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area. Tourists can only visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, and there are no restrictions on going back down the mountain; tourists can only visit the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, and there are no restrictions on going back down the mountain.)
4. In order to avoid possible crowding of tourists when entering the park, the scenic spot will organize tourists to be divided into the park among the five ticket stations in real time.
5. In order to implement the municipal government’s call for citizens to make “three concessions” during the holidays (i.e., giving up parking spaces, giving up travel routes, and giving up sightseeing space), according to the "Zhangjiajie City Wulingyuan Core Scenic Spot Ticket Management Measures", local citizens must purchase scenic spot tickets to enter the park during the May Day holiday.
6. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, tourists are requested to actively cooperate with the scenic area management department to implement control measures such as "body temperature measurement, wearing masks, separate seats, preventing gatherings, limiting flow, verifying health codes, and registering with real names".
