The sound of the piano is full of greenery, and the sound of singing lingers in the peak forest. On July 26, the world's first peak forest music festival, jointly performed by more than 50 top domestic and foreign musicians, was held in Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie City. Nearly 10,000 Chinese and foreign tourists and guests enjoyed this landscape cultural feast live.
The grand ceremony stage, located in the Three Thousand Peaks Forest in Zhangjiajie, uses bright red as the main color. It is like a red flag fluttering in the wind in the green valley, and like a red musical note string winding upwards in the rolling peaks.
The Fenglin Concert was sung to the melody of "I Love You China" performed by famous Chinese singers Shi Yijie, Zhang Liping, Li Xiuying, and Du Jigang, and performed by famous pianist Yuan Jie. The audience stood up and joined the chorus in unison. The loud singing echoed back and forth in the valley, forming a perfect harmony and offering the best wishes to the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and is also the "Year of Local Cooperation and Exchange between China and Russia". The world-famous Russian Philharmonic Orchestra made its debut in Zhangjiajie and performed more than ten Chinese and foreign classics including "My Motherland", "Polovtsian Dances", "Evenings on the Suburbs of Moscow", and "Swan Lake Suite" with Chinese musicians at the Peak Forest Ceremony. As a representative of the Russian national artistic image, the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra integrates the highest level of symphonic art into the landscape of the world's natural heritage, allowing the audience to appreciate the world's high-level music in the natural wonders.
At the same time, "Ode to the Red Flag", "Red Detachment of Women", "Defend the Yellow River" and "I Love My Motherland" jointly performed by Chinese and foreign artists won rounds of applause from the audience.
The Zhangjiajie Peak Forest Music Festival is one of the important contents of the 2019 Huanglong Music Season. Currently, various activities such as performances, competitions, and master classes of the 2019 Huanglong Music Season Vocal Art Week are in full swing. The finals will be held at the Huanglong Concert Hall on July 30. From August 2 to 9, the Piano Art Week, the second major theme event of the 2019 Huanglong Music Season, will continue to be held.
