The beautiful scenery of Wulingyuan core scenic spot
Launch of tourism promotion for three countries
On August 24, the Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau of Zhangjiajie City organized a pre-war mobilization meeting for Southeast Asia tourism promotion, which kicked off the 2015 tourism promotion activities for Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Peng Bin, director of the Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau, said that from August 28 to September 6, the Wulingyuan District People's Government joined forces with Zhanglv Group, Huanglong Cave, Bailong Ladder, Tianzi Mountain Cableway, Xibu Old Street, Zhangjiajie World Geopark Museum and other scenic area enterprises to promote and display Zhangjiajie's beautiful natural scenery and colorful folk customs in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. We also have extensive contacts with the tourism authorities, tourism associations, key travel agencies, mainstream media, etc. of the three countries to discuss cooperation matters.
Promotion events and expo displays
During the promotion period, we will focus on holding large-scale tourism promotion on-site meetings in Thailand and Indonesia, the two main tourist source markets in Southeast Asia; we will participate in the tourism expo in Malaysia and directly display and promote Zhangjiajie tourism products to local travel agents and citizens. At the same time, the promotion team will also visit key travel agents and media in the three countries to discuss tourism cooperation matters, inspect some tourism infrastructure service facilities, and learn from local tourism management experience.
Southeast Asia is Zhangjiajie's most important overseas tourist source market. In recent years, Zhangjiajie's overseas marketing efforts in Southeast Asia have also been increasing, and the number of tourist receptions has also increased year by year. This tourism promotion event for Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia is the fourth time the Wulingyuan District People’s Government has carried out tourism promotion in Southeast Asia, and it has a positive role in promoting the continued warming of the inbound tourism market.
