1.068 Million Visitors in Half a Month
On February 26, the tourism department of Wulingyuan District in Zhangjiajie released data showing that within half a month from the Spring Festival Golden Week to the Lantern Festival, Wulingyuan District received a total of 1.068 million Chinese and foreign tourists, a year-on-year increase of 54%. Among them, 253,000 people visited the core scenic spots at one time, a year-on-year increase of 50%.
Since the Spring Festival, the weather has continued to be fine, Chinese and foreign tourists have arrived one after another, and many reception indicators in Wulingyuan District have increased significantly year-on-year. Especially during the Spring Festival Golden Week, the district received a total of 42,000 self-driving vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 200%. After the Lantern Festival, the weather continues to be good, making it convenient for tourists to travel. With the smooth operation of the Tianzi Mountain Cableway, the reception capacity of the scenic spot has been greatly improved, and the queuing phenomenon in previous years has been greatly alleviated.
