Glass Room Appears on Baofeng Lake Cliff
Nowadays, in Wulingyuan, the core scenic area of Zhangjiajie, Hunan, a tourist resort, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery, but also have exciting activities and live in a place that makes your heart beat faster. On May 4, in the Baofeng Lake Scenic Area, which is known as the "Drunk Beauty Lake", a local young man built a glass house decorated with Tujia elements on the cliff in the lake. To enter the room, you have to "climb the rock and walk on the wall." This initiative has been called "the most exciting, creative and wonderful cliff B&B" by Chinese and foreign tourists visiting Baofeng Lake Scenic Area.
This glass house is in the shape of a capsule, composed of 24 acrylic cast plates and 12 aviation aluminum alloy pipes. It is 3.2 meters long, 1.6 meters wide, and weighs about 180 kilograms. It is suspended on the rock wall of Baofeng Lake with an alloy steel wire pulley set, about 30 meters above the lake surface. The exterior of the house is decorated in the style of a Tujia stilted building. The room has a Tujia Xikalanpu pure cotton bed and some Tujia element bedding and ornaments. The design fully integrates the beauty of natural architecture and the culture of the Tujia ethnic minority in Zhangjiajie. During the day, you can listen to music in the glass room while overlooking the beautiful scenery of Baofeng Lake from high altitude; while watching the cruise ships chasing the waves, you can enjoy the sincere and simple folk songs of Tujia Amei. At night, you can lie in bed and count the stars in the sky without restraint, and quietly enjoy the scenery of lakes and mountains under the night sky. The glass room is equipped with high-speed wireless WIFI, a 400W pixel high-definition cloud monitoring system and a solar charging system, allowing every experiencer to enjoy the beauty and comfort without any worries.
Glass Room Structure and Safety Design
Liu Shuangqi, the "initiator" of the glass house and a local Internet enthusiast, said that this glass house is not very spacious and generally only accommodates 1 to 2 people, but it has a carrying capacity of more than 700 kilograms and a high safety factor. At the same time, the glass house is hung on the rock wall with special outdoor ropes and can be dismantled and removed at any time without any impact on the landscape and mountain. If anyone is still worried about personal safety, the glass room is equipped with a special outdoor protection rope that can bear a load of 600 kilograms, which can be tied around the waist to sit back and relax.
Scenic Area Responds to Creative Experiment
Regarding the idea of hanging a glass house on the cliff of Baofeng Lake, the scenic area said that this is a new attempt for leisure vacation and experience tourism. There is a precedent in Peru and it is very popular among experiencers. Furthermore, this kind of mobile suspended glass house not only does not cause damage to the natural landscape of the scenic spot, but also increases the fun and experience of visiting and improves the tourism quality of the scenic spot.
The person in charge of Baofeng Lake Scenic Area also said that the cliff glass house is currently only in the creative experimental stage and is not yet qualified to receive tourists for stay. Issues such as environmentally friendly toilets and catering have not yet been resolved. When the time is right, the scenic spot will invite tourists to enter the glass room for an in-depth experience.
It is understood that the glass house on the cliff in Baofeng Lake Scenic Area is the first of its kind in China.
