Multi-Department Joint Quarterly Inspection
On July 3, Yang Shaowu, member of the Standing Committee of the Wulingyuan District Committee and Minister of Propaganda of the District Committee, led the heads of the District Civilization Office, District Food and Drug Administration, District Industrial and Commercial Bureau, District Price Bureau, District Health Bureau, District Tourism Bureau, District Commerce Bureau and other units to conduct a quarterly inspection of the district’s 2015 integrity tourist restaurant assessment work. Also accompanying the inspection was Gu Qiong, deputy director of the District People's Government.
Yang Shaowu and his party first conducted spot checks on tourist restaurants such as Lanzhou Ramen, Heige Duck King, and Shengshi Wuling Food City in the city. They checked whether these restaurants had complied with the law and integrity in their business operations, civilized and high-quality services, clean and comfortable environment, effective complaint handling, and strict and scientific management in the integrity assessment work. They fully affirmed the aspects that were done well and required rectification within a time limit for existing problems. Subsequently, Yang Shaowu and his party went to the Lanyuan Villa area of Wuling Avenue to inspect the installation of integrity restaurant evaluation signs, and required relevant departments to make full use of the public signage platform to further promote the integrity evaluation of tourist restaurants in the region and make positive contributions to the construction of "Integrity Wulingyuan".
Inspection Results and Next-Step Work Requirements
Through the inspection, Yang Shaowu believes that the district’s 2015 assessment of honest tourist restaurants has achieved initial results. Regarding how to do the next step well, Yang Shaowu pointed out: First, we need to improve our understanding. The assessment of honest restaurants is the main starting point for the construction of "Integrity Wulingyuan". It is conducive to improving the competitiveness of Wulingyuan tourism brand and is of great significance in the national tourism industry; second, it must be implemented in work. All relevant departments must combine the "National Sanitary Town" acceptance, strengthen the integrity creation of tourist restaurants, do a good job in training tourist restaurant owners, daily inspections and supervision must be in place, and strive to achieve full coverage of urban scenic spots; third, they must redouble their efforts in publicity. All relevant departments should carefully summarize the achievements of honest restaurant assessment, increase publicity efforts, innovate publicity forms, enrich publicity content, form a good social atmosphere, and let more people and tourists know about it.
It is understood that the 2015 honest tourist restaurant assessment work in the region was launched in March this year. As of the time of publication, nearly 300 tourist restaurants have signed letters of commitment to honest business operations with the competent authorities, and other establishment work is progressing steadily.
