What to see at the Ten-Mile Gallery
The Ten-Mile Gallery is a valley trail of about 5 km. The peak forest on both sides takes countless shapes — the Horse, the Old Man Gathering Herbs, the God of Longevity Welcoming Guests and more — changing at every step. It is the easiest sightseeing line in the park. Ride the sightseeing mini-train both ways or mix in walking.
- Old Man Gathering Herbs: a peak shaped like an old man with a herb basket — the gallery’s signature shape;
- Three Sisters Peak: three pillars leaning on one another;
- Dog Watching the Moon and Longevity Star Welcoming Guests: passed one by one along the trail.
How to tour
Ride the mini-train in and walk back, or the reverse; walking and sightseeing takes about 1.5–2 hours. The mini-train is in-park transport and requires a separate ticket.
Tips
- The trail is flat with no climbing — good for seniors, children and slow photography;
- It sits next to Golden Whip Stream and Shuizhaosi, so it can form an easy half-day route;
- Crowds build in the afternoon; early morning is better.
