Mist and Clouds Shroud Tianzi Mountain at End of Holiday
On May 2, the last day of the May Day holiday, Wulingyuan Tianzi Mountain, the core scenic spot in Zhangjiajie, was shrouded in clouds and mist after a rainy day. Many Chinese and foreign tourists sighed: Zhangjiajie is really a wonderland.
Although it is the last day of the long holiday, the author saw in Tianzi Mountain, Shili Gallery, Baofeng Lake, Huanglong Cave and other scenic spots that there is still an endless stream of foreign tourists catching the last train of the holiday to travel to Wulingyuan. According to news from the Wulingyuan District Tourism Committee Office, during the May Day holiday, Wulingyuan ushered in its first reception peak this year after the Spring Festival and Tomb Sweeping Day. Statistics show that from April 30 to May 1, more than 45,000 people visited the core scenic area of Wulingyuan at one time, a significant increase compared with the same period last year. The peripheral Baofeng Lake Scenic Area received 7,750 people in the first two days, and the Huanglong Cave Scenic Area received 13,940 people in the first two days. The peak reception period was May 1, when more than 26,000 people entered the core scenic area of Wulingyuan at one time.

During the festival, Wulingyuan has clear skies and comfortable temperatures, making it a great time to travel. In order to ensure the reception order, the main leaders of the Wulingyuan District Committee, the District People's Government, and the Scenic Area Administration Bureau, as well as more than 2,000 cadres, employees, and armed police officers and soldiers in the district, have invested in front-line support. Especially in view of the large number of self-driving tourists in various places, traffic police, urban management and other departments have rationally adjusted more than 10,000 parking spaces to meet the parking needs of out-of-town vehicles. The District Tourism Working Committee Office, the Scenic Area Administration Bureau and various tourism enterprises make full use of websites, radio, WeChat, Weibo, electronic displays and other channels to dynamically release public tourism information such as transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, weather, parking, etc., and update and release the traffic conditions in the scenic area at any time to help tourists choose tour routes.
Additional Self-Service Ticket Machines for Independent Travelers
In order to further facilitate self-guided tourists, the scenic area administration has added automatic ticket vending machines at the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ticket station and Wujiayu ticket station, improved the online self-service ticket issuance system, and improved the ticket refund (change) business process. Bailong Tianti also implements Alipay online ticket purchase business, reducing the intermediate links for tourists to purchase tickets and maximizing convenience for tourists.
During the festival, all major tourism-related departments in Wulingyuan District are on duty, giving full play to the linkage function of the "10-minute scenic spot emergency rescue and treatment circle" to provide tourists with tourism emergency rescue and tourism medical assistance services. Up to now, Wulingyuan District has achieved the "five unifications" of safety, smooth traffic, quality, order and efficiency and the work goals of "safety and satisfaction in Zhangjiajie" for tourists.
