On October 3, due to the increase in tourists in the scenic area and rainy weather, there was a short queue of tourists at the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum. Many tourists are bored and dissatisfied, which puts great pressure on front-line management work. Xiang Xujie, deputy secretary of the Wulingyuan District Party Committee, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and executive deputy director of the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum, dispatched on-site the diversion of tourists to the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum. District leader Qin Jinting, heads of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Zhangjiajie Management Bureau, the district Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau, and the Suoxiyu Scenic Area Management Committee participated in the dispatching work.
At the scene, the Suoxiyu Scenic Area Management Committee quickly formed three groups: information release, personnel evacuation, and cordon layout according to the emergency plan. Immediately evacuate tourists, leaving only tour guides to queue up to make reservations for entry; release reservation information through information desks, loudspeaker broadcasts, etc.; quickly raise cordons to prevent crowding. Thanks to scientific dispatch and command and adequate emergency preparedness, passenger flow can be controlled freely and tourism order is stable.
After successfully completing the tourist diversion work, Xiang Xujie immediately held a work meeting in the conference room of the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum. At the meeting, the Municipal Tourism Quality Supervision and Management Office and the Municipal Tourism Police Detachment fully affirmed the tourist diversion work of the Suoxiyu Scenic Area Management Committee and pointed out that the Suoxiyu Scenic Area Management Committee should further perform its duties and promptly handle problems that arise in the area under its jurisdiction.
Xiang Xujie requested that reservations for the 5D movie screenings at the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum should be made by time and section; all travel agencies and tour guides should cooperate with the reservation work; the Suoxiyu Scenic Area Management Committee, the public security, and the armed police should maintain the order of the four-door square around the water and ensure sufficient police force. Xiang Xujie emphasized that the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum is a base for popular science education. The tourist capacity of the Zhangjiajie Global Geopark Museum must be reasonably considered to achieve a seamless connection between the tourism market, tourism quality, and tourism services.
