Annual Inspection of Catering Enterprises
"There is no off-season for tourism when creating with integrity!" In mid-January, the Tourism Industry Integrity Assessment Working Group of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City organized relevant functional departments to conduct annual inspections of catering companies such as Xiangxi Impression, Wulong Shanzhai, and Shengshi Wuling in the city. The person in charge of the District Civilization Office introduced that in the past 2015, Wulingyuan District took three major measures to further promote the construction of integrity "on the tip of the tongue".
The first is to implement full coverage of publicity and mobilization. In 2015, Wulingyuan District continued to take tourism industry integrity assessment as a powerful measure to improve the district's tourism environment, focusing on the "eating" element of tourism and implementing full coverage in the tourist restaurant industry. We conducted in-depth surveys of 265 catering companies and operators in the district, carried out door-to-door publicity, established a catering integrity assessment and inspection ledger, distributed assessment standards for the honest catering industry, and signed letters of commitment for honest operations with enterprises and operators, mobilizing all enterprises to actively participate in the integrity assessment. At the same time, social publicity efforts were further intensified, and the 10 honest enterprises selected last year were publicly commended and awarded at the district-wide meeting to improve the civilized quality of citizens and promote the integrity assessment of the tourism industry. 20,000 copies of promotional brochures were printed and distributed to consumers for free, special promotional videos were filmed and played in public areas, and 10 integrity promotion windows and 2 cultural walls were set up in the city to continuously expand the awareness of integrity assessment activities.
Tourist Participation and Supervision
The second is to actively invite tourists to participate. Wulingyuan District has rolled out publicity on electronic displays at entrances to scenic spots such as sign gates and forest parks. It has opened a column on integrity construction in the "Wulingyuan News Network", established integrity files for catering companies, an online evaluation platform for Dianping and a WeChat QR code evaluation platform. Restaurant business establishments distributed integrity standard publicity boards, the "Wulingyuan District Tourism Industry Integrity Assessment Tourist Opinion Survey Book", 265 sets of integrity management commitment letters, and 3,000 WeChat QR code evaluation boards, and encouraged tourists to use their mobile phones to scan the QR code to comment on the restaurant.
The third is to strengthen quarterly supervision and inspection. Wulingyuan District strictly follows the integrity assessment standards for tourist restaurants, identifies key areas every quarter, organizes food and drug, industry and commerce, price, tourism, health and other relevant functional departments to conduct centralized inspections of restaurants, and announces the inspection results to the public on the website and promotional windows. For the outstanding problems that have been sorted out, relevant departments will be organized to jointly carry out special rectification, and the implementation of problem rectification will be the focus of inspection in the next quarter. Throughout the year, district leaders led the team to conduct three centralized inspections, effectively advancing work progress, identifying outstanding problems, and clarifying the direction of rectification.
