The review and rectification of Wulingyuan 5A-level scenic spot in Zhangjiajie has achieved phased results

Advance Review and Rectification According to Standards

Since mid-March, Wulingyuan Tourism Committee of Zhangjiajie City has taken the lead and in accordance with the rectification opinions put forward by the provincial 5A-level scenic spot review and inspection team and the standards of the "Quality Rating and Classification of Tourist Attractions", Wulingyuan Scenic Area has been solidly carrying out the review and rectification of issues related to 5A-level scenic spots. After two months of rectification and implementation, phased results have been achieved.

Wulingyuan Scenic Area regards the review of national 5A-level scenic spots as a top priority to promote and enhance the tourism service level, infrastructure and brand image of the scenic spot. The Wulingyuan District Party Committee, District Government and Scenic Spot Administration adhered to the principles of unified deployment, unified mobilization and unified action. On March 16, they held a meeting on the work meeting for the national inspection of 5A-level scenic spots, and carried out task decomposition and quantitative refinement of the work of welcoming the national inspection. A leading group for the review and inspection of 5A-level scenic spots has been established, and seven working groups including the construction rectification group and the order rectification group have been established to clarify task requirements, completion time limits and responsible units from eight aspects including tourism transportation, sightseeing, tourism safety, and sanitation.

Main Leaders Supervise and Solve Practical Problems

During the implementation of the rectification process, Zhu Yongwen, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Zhang Management Bureau, Chu Xinnian, Director of the District People's Government and Director of the Zhang Management Bureau, and other major leaders led teams to supervise the implementation many times and worked on-site to solve practical problems. It is understood that of the 69 problems that should be improved, 60 have been basically rectified, with a completion rate of nearly 87%. This rectification focuses on four aspects: environmental sanitation improvement, infrastructure improvement, tourism order transformation, and service quality improvement. We have strengthened the environmental sanitation and cleaning management of tourist trails, public toilets, parking lots, and tourist routes in scenic spots, as well as the environmental sanitation and food safety management of stalls and stalls. The supporting public facilities such as signage, trash cans, and rest seats have been unifiedly designed, standardized, and laid out. 515 new signboards were added and 216 were repaired; 212 new trash cans were added and 414 were repaired; plastic seats were completely removed from the scenic area, all plastic chairs were removed, and 168 rest seats were unified; 1,120 meters of guardrails with safety hazards were repaired and transformed.

Toilet Renovation and Stall and Booth Rectification

At the same time, the renovation and upgrade of 22 toilets was launched. We have further focused on the centralized rectification of stalls and stalls in scenic spots, demolished more than 20 illegally built stalls and nearly 1,000 square meters, standardized the display of stall items, the service image of cooked food operators, and clearly marked prices in scenic spots. The traffic order in the scenic area was centralized and rectified, effectively controlling the social vehicle safety order in the core scenic area. Measures such as time-sharing reservations, limited-time ticket sales, human services, and diversion of control points have been adopted to alleviate the long queues in core scenic spots to a great extent. Comprehensive competitions and on-site communication and evaluation activities were carried out in the scenic area, forming a good atmosphere of comparing services, comparing quality, and striving to create together. The Wulingyuan District Tourism Bureau also held training courses for tourism practitioners across the region, and the scenic spot administration also organized more than 200 young people under the age of 28 from various units to participate in training on daily vocabulary, tourism service etiquette, etc. Various enterprises and management departments in the scenic area have successively held on-the-job skills training, further implemented the "three must" activities to serve tourists, polished tourism brands such as the party member voluntary information desk and the party representative studio, and improved the professional level and service quality of employees.

Outside the scenic area, transportation, highways, urban management and other departments have also made timely rectifications on related issues. Problems such as damaged pavement along the highway and in urban areas and irregular traffic signboards have been basically solved. The district tourism bureau has built an Wulingyuan tourism website in response to the issue of scenic spot promotion. It is now pre-launched and is in the process of designing the mobile version and statistical section and improving information such as attractions and ticket reservations.
