Wulingyuan Ranks First in Special Campaign Assessment
Wulingyuan District has achieved notable results in advancing the "Safe and Satisfied in Zhangjiajie" special campaign. In mid-January, good news came from the Wulingyuan District Office of the "Safe and Satisfied in Zhangjiajie" Special Campaign: in 2015, Wulingyuan District ranked first citywide in the comprehensive assessment of the "Safe and Satisfied in Zhangjiajie" special campaign.
In 2015, Wulingyuan District placed the work of the "Safe and Satisfied in Zhangjiajie" special campaign on its important agenda, breaking down tasks in detail and assigning them to each responsible unit and department, ensuring that every task had a lead department, cooperating units, a dedicated supervising leader, and dedicated personnel responsible for implementation. Seven working groups were set up, including those for tourism industry order and tourism business order, to strengthen supervision and promptly follow up on outstanding matters. Taking the re-evaluation of the 5A-level scenic area as an opportunity, the district further improved tourism infrastructure and public service facilities and enhanced visitor comfort. In comprehensively strengthening tourism talent management, it organized three district-wide management and service training sessions for tourism practitioners, training scenic area managers and staff more than 2,000 person-times. It carried out the "Honest Wulingyuan" initiative, becoming the first in the country to introduce a 15-day no-reason return and exchange policy for shopping venues serving tour groups. It deeply carried out detailed service activities for visitors such as the "Three Musts" and "Four-Zero Service," as well as the "6+3" scenic area management and service labor competition, with monthly notifications and quarterly evaluations and reviews, creating a good atmosphere of learning from and surpassing one another and striving for excellence.
Improving Contingency Plans and Rectifying Business Order
Wulingyuan District also improved various emergency response plans for tourism incidents, creating a "10-minute scenic area emergency rescue and treatment circle"; it established a mechanism for responding to peak visitor flows in the scenic area, effectively easing order problems caused by long queues. It made every effort to rectify business order in the scenic area, strengthened joint law enforcement by public security, tourism, industry and commerce and other departments, improved the system of the contradiction and dispute resolution center, and set up 5 tourism expedited adjudication court liaison offices and 5 police offices in the core scenic area. It further standardized stalls, booths and photo spots in the scenic area, carrying out concentrated clean-up and rectification of arbitrary charges by photo spot operators, stalls and booths affecting visitors' sightseeing, and randomly piled household and construction waste.
At the same time, Wulingyuan District also vigorously tackled food and drug safety in the scenic area, cracking down hard on problems such as soliciting and chasing visitors, extortion, price fraud, and illegal operations in the scenic area, and strengthening routine oversight of the tourism market. In 2015, Wulingyuan was selected as one of Hunan Province's first batch of "National Tourism Price-Trusted Scenic Areas," with a visitor satisfaction rate exceeding 90%.
